1. Band Origin?

We met at Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Mutants. However, we didn't join together as a supergroup until our senior year, when we were bitten by radioactive musicians and saved the world from Magneto. (Rick)

2. How long have you been together?

Five years: Long enough to know each other's faults, yet not take advantage of them.

3. Major Influences.

Led Zeppelin (Mark E.), Mahavishnu Orchestra (Mike), Bela Bartok (Rick), Elton John (Aaron), Police (Mark J.)

4. Finish this sentence: Progressive is...

Stretching the limits of the rock song form by introducing elements from other styles such as classical, jazz, folk or world music. This leads to extended arrangements full of key and tempo changes, instrumental passages, and contemplative lyrics. It's music for people who like to think. (Rick) Mainstream suicide. (Mark E.)

5. Edgar Allan Poe; madman or genius?

Madman, but not nearly so mad as the "mystserious visitor" who's been putting a rose and glass of cognac on Poe's grave on his birthday for the past 50 years.

6. Best Place to do a show in Detroit?

Anywhere somebody wants to see us.

7. Dream Gig.

The Detroit Red Wings' official threepeat party. (Mark J). Wink, wink. (Aaron)

8. Some do it for the money, Some do it for the women, we do it for...

Ourselves. (Rick). Women with money. (Aaron).

9. If we weren't in band we'd be doing

Investing with all the money we saved not buying musical equipment. (Mike) Women with money. (Aaron)

10. Discography

Body of Mind 1999 Poe Boy Records, Michigan.

"Knife Edge" on Fanfare for the Pirates: A Tribute to ELP 1998 Mellow Records, Italy.
