The Local Scene: Caught in the Act

Body of Mind CD Release Party

From Geoff Wilbur's Renegade Newsletter vol 6 #4 (May, 1999)

The Motor City's House of Usher (PO Box 1577, Royal Oak, MI 48068-1577) played an hour plus set that was nothing short of stunning! They hit the stage with the fervor and passion of seasoned pros really bringing their symphonic dynamically-oriented rock to life! They had a lot to celebrate as this gig served as their CD release party for their debut entitled Body of Mind. They performed the entire album along with a couple of new songs, which seemed to dazzle the attentive crowd. Lead vocalist Aaron Letrick never ceases to amaze and just keeps improving with time. Guitarist Michael Moore's command, of classical stylings in particular, is awe-inspiring, and the rhythm team of Mark Jardine (bass), Mark Evans (percussion), and the keyboards of Richard Kaczynski is truly hard to beat. Fans of prog, or just superb music in general, should pick up on their live shows and album.
